This premium series R2-D2 is an amazingly detailed etched model that is fun and satisfying to assemble. Simply pop the pieces out of the flat metal sheets and follow the included directions to assemble your model. R2-D2 is a robot character in the Star Wars Universe and friend to C-3PO. This Astromech droid is a major character in all Star Wars Films. The model measures 2.83 x 2.17 x 3.74 inches when assembled. Difficulty: Moderate. No glue or solder needed.

Recommended for 1 player, ages 14+.

Took me about three hours across two evenings and the etched panel detail on the dome is genuinely impressive once it's folded into shape. Tweezers help with the tiny tabs, and the directions are clear enough that I never had to guess. Sits on my desk now and people keep picking it up to look closer

Popped the pieces out of the flat metal sheets and everything fit together without any filing, which surprised me for something this small. The etched details on the dome and legs are ridiculously sharp. Took me a couple evenings but it was fun the whole way.
