The Metal Earth Transformers models are amazingly detailed etched models that are fun and satisfying to assemble. Simply pop the pieces out of the flat metal sheets and follow the included directions to assemble your model by bending the tabs through corresponding connection points. Megatron is the founder of the Deception uprising, and their most well-known and feared leader. Megatron has lost battles, but he has never been truly defeated. Even after his near total destruction by the All Spark, he returned. The model measures 2.28 x 2.13 x 4.13 inches when assembled. Difficulty level: Moderate. Easy to follow illustrated instructions are included with each kit and no glue or solder required.

Took me a couple of evenings, but popping those tiny pieces out and watching the fusion cannon come together was oddly therapeutic. The etched detail on the chest and arms is sharp enough that it looks display-worthy even without any paint.

I was nervous about the tiny pieces at first, but following the diagrams step by step was oddly relaxing and the fusion cannon came together perfectly. The finished figure is surprisingly sturdy and looks fantastic on my shelf.

The joints on this Megatron actually click into place with a satisfying little snap, and the painted colors are way more vivid in person than on the box. Took me a couple of evenings to finish, but the included directions were clear enough that I never got stuck for long.
