The MetalEarth Star Wars models are amazingly detailed etched models that are fun and satisfying to assemble. Each model starts out as 4 inch square metal sheets and you simply pop out the pieces and follow the included directions to assemble your model. The X-Wing fighter is a starfighter used by the Rebel Alliance and is the starfighter flown by Luke Skywalker. It is characterised by its X shape wings extending out from the fuselage.



Recommended for 1 player, ages 14+.

I've built a few of these etched models before, but the X-Wing's S-foils are on another level once you get all four wings lined up. Took me about two hours with tweezers and the tabs snap cleanly without any filing. It sits on my desk now and people keep picking it up thinking it's die-cast.
