This premium series X-Wing Starfighter is an amazingly detailed etched model that is fun and satisfying to assemble. Simply pop the pieces out of the flat metal sheets and follow the included directions to assemble your model. The X-wing starfighter is from the original Star Wars trilogy and the expanded universe. It is depicted as the primary interceptor and dogfighter of the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic. The model measures 5.31 x 4.57 x 2.13 inches when assembled. Difficulty: Moderate. No glue or solder needed.

Recommended for 1 player, ages 14+.

The etched panel lines on the wings are ridiculously crisp for something this small, and once it's snapped together it actually holds its shape without sagging. Took me about three evenings to finish, way longer than I expected, but I didn't mind one bit.

I really enjoyed the challenge of popping out all those tiny etched metal pieces—the detail is incredible. Just wish the instructions were a bit clearer on a few of the later folds.
