The Hogwarts Express runs between London, Kings Cross Station Platform 9 3/4 and Hogsmeade Station in the Harry Potter movie franchise. The Express dutifully carries students to and from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the start and end of every term. Originally steam fitted by the Muggles (non-magic people) who built it, the Hogwarts Express now runs exclusively on magic. The model measures 6.89 x 1.46 x 2.24 inches when assembled. Difficulty level: Challenging. No glue or solder needed.

Recommended for 1 player, ages 14+.

The etched brass detailing on the locomotive body looks way sharper than I expected for the size, and the tender car locks on with just a couple of folds. Took me about two hours with tweezers, mostly on the wheels, but it sits great on my desk next to the books.
